Past State Officers

The Past State Officer Organization is a group of past officers of the Michigan FFA Association who desire to give back to the organization. Michigan Past State Officers strive to provide leadership and support to the Michigan FFA’s state officer teams and membership by promoting agricultural education, personal development and the opportunities available within our organization.

We are always looking for Past State Officers that we have lost contact with. If you know of any Past State Officers who are not recieving our emails or mailings please let us know.

The goals for past state officers are:

  1. Support State Officers
    1. Sponsor training programs
    2. Pay lifetime alumni dues for outgoing state officers
    3. Provide personal and professional mentoring opportunities for state officers
  2. Chapter Resources for National Competitors
    1. Form resource list of individuals with expertise in various national competitions
    2. Provide materials that can be used for training students competing in national contests, proficiencies, stars, etc.
  3. Bridge Gap Between PSO.
    1. Maintain a newsletter highlighting PSO and FFA activities
    2. Create social and networking opportunities
    3. Create a listserv for communication outreach
  4. Support Michigan FFA members
    1. Establish opportunities to support the personal and professional development of all Michigan FFA members

As state officers finish their year of service, the Past State Officer Organization want to help them transition to a lifetime of service. We are doing this with our “Continuous Leadership” campaign where supporters sponsor the dues of current state officers. It is the goal of the Past State Officer Organization to eventually have an endowment where the dues can be paid by the interest.
