About the Michigan FFA Foundation

Help Us Grow Future Leaders

With your help, Michigan FFA prepares students to fulfill the growing diversity and new opportunities in the industry of agriculture. We’re on a mission to ensure that students have an equitable playing field when it comes to their education. Through annual fundraising and support from individuals, businesses, and industry, we ensure that every FFA program is fully funded and students have access to opportunities.

When you commit to partnership, you are helping promote FFA contests, leadership programs, and career development events. Donations and sponsorships subsidize achievement awards, scholarships, leadership building programs, career development events and the State FFA Convention. It is only through the generosity of individual and corporate donors that FFA members are able to develop their self-esteem, skills, and leadership abilities.

Our Mission

The mission of the Michigan FFA Foundation is to impact youth leadership development in Michigan as it relates to FFA and agriscience education initiatives, supporting  leadership development, career success and self-esteem, leading to a lifetime of personal success for students across the state.

Our History

The Michigan FFA Foundation was founded in 1984 at Michigan State University. Founded to be a fund-generating source for FFA, the foundation operated without an executive director until the late 1980’s. In 1995 Michigan State University and Michigan Farm Bureau joined in cooperation to hire a part-time executive director to oversee fund raising activities. The Michigan FFA Foundation moved from Michigan State University to Michigan Farm Bureau. In 1998 the Michigan FFA Foundation hired a full time executive director to manage all foundation activities. In 2006 the FFA Foundation was moved back to MSU and now finds its home in Agriculture Hall, back to where it began. The Michigan FFA Foundation has grown from a small operating fund to over two million dollars in assets and raising nearly half a million dollars annually to fund FFA and agriculture and natural resources education.
