MICHIGAN FFA
STATE CONVENTION
The Michigan FFA State Convention is held yearly on the campus of Michigan State University during the MSU spring break. FFA members, parents, industry leaders and other from across the state to celebrate the achievements of FFA members, hold the state finals of the Leadership Contests, present awards and listen to motivational speakers. This event has over 2500 participants each year, has been hosted by MSU since 1929 and is normally held in The Great Hall of The Wharton Center.
FALL CONFERENCES
The Fall Leadership Conferences are held in conjunction with the teacher’s Fall Professional Development Institute and consist of two separate conference components.
- 212 Degrees Conference: designed for students in grades 7-9
- 360 Degree Conference: designed for students in grades 10-12
FALL PDI
The Fall Professional Development Institute is an opportunity for Michigan agriculture, food and natural resources educators to receive training and updates in the latest technologies and educational developments in their field.
STATE LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE FOR CHAPTER OFFICERS
State Leadership Conference for Chapter Officers (SLCCO): designed to provide newly elected chapter officers with skills they need to be effective leaders of their local FFA chapter.
STATE LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE FOR REGIONAL OFFICERS
The State Leadership Conference for Regional Officers (SLCRO): designed for newly elected regional officers with skills they need to be effective leaders of their region.
WASHINGTON LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE
The Washington Leadership Conference (WLC) provides exceptional leadership training based on four tenets: ME, WE, DO and SERVE. Building upon each of these four tenets, students become engaged citizens who can make measurable impacts in their community.
SCHOOL OFFICIALS TRIP
If you know of an individual that would benefit your FFA chapter by attending the FFA National Convention, contact the Michigan FFA Alumni. Registration is limited to 15 participants, so be sure to reserve your place on this trip early.
NATIONAL CONVENTION
Every year, over 70,000 FFA members, parents, FFA advisors and industry leaders nationwide come together to celebrate the success of American agriculture and to provide life long educational experiences for our nation’s future leaders.
