Serving as a Michigan FFA State Officer is an experience like no other, one that my teammates and I will cherish. Many have said that this past year did not meet the expectations that the 12 of us had set last March, and they would be correct because this past year has exceeded all expectations that we could have possibly dreamed of. So, without further ado, and with a huge thank you from the 2020-2021 State Officer team, here are our last parting words of wisdom for the over 8,600 Michigan FFA Members.
Sincerely,
Alex Scovill, Josey Terpening, Sarah ALbrecht, Logan Hagerty, Stephanie Harvey, Marcus Pennington, Addy Stuever Battel, Kaitlyn Higgins, Benjamin Roggenbuck, Zoey Zupin, Andy Yonker, Jonathan Sayles
“My favorite part about this year is that the virtual format allowed us to reach more members than are often able to come to in-person events.” -Addy Stuever Battel, Region I State VP
“I have learned how important the little things are. This year we missed out on big moments, but instead we had little interactions with members that could not have happened if those bigger things were to occur, so now I hope that in life in general I will be grateful for those little moments.” -Sarah Albrecht, State Secretary
“This year, I learned that nothing in life is guaranteed. I learned the importance for working with others to make things the best they can be in every situation.” -Benjamin Roggenbuck, Region III State VP
“I was grateful to serve as the second ever officer from my chapter. Throughout they year, I’ve become extremely grateful for some new best friends and lifelong relationships.” -Andy Yonker, Region V State VP
“After retiring from state office, I’m excited to continue to grow friendships as we all head in different directions, while focusing on attending Oklahoma State University and serving as the National Officer Candidate for Michigan.” -Stephanie Harvey, State Reporter
